PDR Value Line Reserve Connecticut Robusto

This is PDR's most economical offering – a Cuban sandwich-style blend with mixed filler. The Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper gives it that classic light appearance.

The texture was creamy with a hint of butteriness, but honestly, not too many flavors going on here.

Unfortunately, the burn was the biggest letdown. It burned unevenly throughout and required multiple touch-ups. For a €6 cigar, you get what you pay for a decent everyday smoke but nothing special.

That said, perhaps it was a bad one from the box. I'd like to try a few more to see if the taste or burn improves.

This one immediately stood out with its flawless construction. It had an effortless draw and a razor sharp burn – no touch-ups needed from start to finish. The wrapper has a beautiful sungrown sheen that promises something special.

A solid start to the series. This Nicaraguan surprised me with its no-nonsense approach. The wrapper is rustic and slightly veiny, giving it that old-world character the name suggests.

For the price point, this is an honest, everyday cigar that doesn't pretend to be something it's not. A perfect choice if you're after a no-fuss smoke.
